PM Modi in Bihar on Pahalgam Terror Attack: ‘Enemies Will Face Unimaginable Punishment'”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi  gave a strong message form Madhubani in Bihar : People responsible for the  Pahalgam terror attack will get “Punishment beyond thought”.In a public rally on the occasion of National Panchayati Raj Day, Modi said that the enemies of the country have attacked not only the tourists but also the soul of India.

Modi told the public

“Now the time has come to wipe out whatever little land is left of the terrorists. They will have to pay the price for what they have done.”

Speaking for a while in English, PM Modi gave a clear message to the  world:

“From the soil of Bihar, I say to the whole world—India will identify, track, and punish every terrorist and their backers. We will pursue them to the ends of the earth. India’s spirit will never be broken by terrorism. Terrorism will not go unpunished.

Without naming Pakistan, the PM said:

“The terrorists who were involved in this attack, and those who were behind its conspiracy, will get such a punishment that will take them out of their power. Justice will definitely be done.”

Grief and anger in the entire country

PM Modi expressed deep condolences to the families of 26 innocent people who were killed in the attack in Kashmir’s  Pahalgam on 22 April . He said that “people from different parts of the country were martyred – Bengal, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Odisha and Bihar. Our anger and pain is the same in the entire country – from Kargil to Kanniyakumari.”

At the beginning of the rally, Modi also observed a minute of silence for the martyrs along with everyone else.

He said:

“The road to development will be built only when there is peace and security. This is the priority of India.”

Steps in diplomacy too

• Immediately after the attack, the Indian government downgraded diplomatic ties with Pakistan.
• Pakistani military attachés were expelled
• Indus Water Treaty (1960) was suspended
• Attari land-transit post was immediately closed

The anger of people across the country has intensified even more after this attack. People are all expecting strong and immediate action from the Modi government, especially when the government is known for its strong stand on national security.

Finally PM Modi said:

“The will power of 140 crore Indians will break the back of terrorism and its patrons. This is our resolve.”
