Revelation’Washington [US], September 5 – Alison Brie will star as the iconic villain Evil-Lyn in the highly exciting new development for fans of the Masters of the Universe franchise, being the much-awaited live-action adaptation of Masters of the Universe by Amazon MGM Studios and Mattel Films, based upon a legendary 1980s toy line which wowed generations. As his right-hand lady, Evil-Lyn plays a great role in all the evil machinations of Skeletor. With her crafty intelligence and high levels of sorcery, Evil-Lyn usually proves to be a match for He-Man and his fellow fighters. This film might bring out the three-way relationship between He-Man and Skeletor and Evil-Lyn, with elaboration on character development and great battle scenes.
It gets even better with Chris Butler attached to write the movie. Butler’s tenures at animation films of ParaNorman fame suggest that he is likely to inject the right dosage of action, humor, and heart into the script. The screenplay was earlier written by David Callaham of Wonder Woman 1984 and brothers Aaron and Adam Nee, making it at least on paper bristle with promise of being a tautly written storyline replete with enough Easter eggs for fans of the source material.
